Legal & Disclaimers
Last updated: April 23, 2026.
This page consolidates the legal disclosures, disclaimers, and policies that govern your use of Aether (the "Service"). Where a section overlaps with our standalone Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or Accessibility Statement, those standalone documents control to the extent of any conflict.
Contents
1. Anti-Spam Policy
Spam refers to any unsolicited email — commonly known as "junk mail" or Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). Aether does not send marketing email today. If we add an email channel in the future (for product updates, security notices, or release notes), we will only send messages to recipients who have explicitly opted in.
Any future automated emails will include an easy one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You may opt out at any time, and we will stop sending non-essential communication promptly. Transactional messages required to operate the Service (e.g., security alerts, password resets) are exempt from unsubscribe per applicable law.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
2. ADA Website Accessibility & Limitation of Liability
Aether targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance and is designed to align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. We treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize them accordingly. See our full Accessibility Statement for detail.
Despite ongoing effort, complete accessibility across every feature, every browser, and every assistive technology cannot be guaranteed. By using the Service you agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aether and its operators will not be held liable for instances where any page may not be fully accessible, or for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
Some content may rely on third-party platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, LLM providers). We have limited control over the accessibility of those third-party resources.
If you experience an accessibility barrier or have suggestions, please contact us at stephenpcrump504@gmail.com. We aim to respond within five business days.
3. Copyright Notice
All materials on this website — including text, graphics, logos, designs, photographs, videos, and other multimedia — are protected by copyright and remain the exclusive property of the website owner unless explicitly noted otherwise.
These materials are safeguarded against unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, modification, or any form of misuse. Protection extends to the unique arrangement and presentation of content. Unauthorized use can lead to legal penalties.
Derivative works that closely mimic the original without explicit permission may also constitute infringement. The fact that content can be technically copied does not make it ethically or legally permissible to do so.
To request permission to reproduce, share, or modify any of this content, contact us in writing at stephenpcrump504@gmail.com.
Your content remains yours. The copyright above applies to Aether's own content. Material you create inside the Service (clients, canvases, notes) belongs to you; see Terms of Use § 3.
4. DMCA Compliance Policy
Aether respects the intellectual property rights of others and asks visitors to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we maintain procedures for addressing claims of copyright infringement.
If you believe content hosted on Aether infringes your copyright, send a written notice to stephenpcrump504@gmail.com including:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, with enough detail (URL, screenshot) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice we will investigate, and if the claim is substantiated we will promptly remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it.
5. Earnings Disclaimer
Aether is a workflow and analytics tool for content creators. Any references to follower growth, reach, revenue, or other earnings outcomes — whether in product copy, demo data, marketing material, or AI-generated suggestions — are for informational and educational purposes only and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of results.
Individual outcomes depend on background, dedication, niche, audience, market conditions, platform policy, and many factors outside our control. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
Any case studies, testimonials, screenshots, or example results presented are not typical and do not guarantee that you will achieve similar results. Use the Service alongside — not in place of — qualified professional advice for business, legal, or financial decisions.
6. FTC Disclaimer
In adherence to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials in advertising, please be aware that some links on this site or in associated content may be affiliate links. This means that, if you click such a link and complete a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Any recommendations, reviews, or endorsements are based on our own research and genuine belief in the product or service. Compensation does not change our editorial judgment, but you should be aware it exists.
We encourage visitors to verify any product claim, statistic, or representation directly with the manufacturer or provider and to perform their own due diligence before purchasing.
7. Language Translation Disclaimer
Aether is published in English. Translations performed by browser tools, third-party services, or assistive technologies are provided as a convenience and may contain inaccuracies. Automated translation cannot reliably handle idioms, regional dialects, technical jargon, or evolving language.
In the event of any discrepancy between the original English text and a translated version, the English text controls. Aether is not responsible for misunderstandings, decisions, or actions taken based on translated content.
8. Link Lifespan Disclaimer
Aether may include hyperlinks to external sites, reference materials, or downloadable resources. At the time of publishing we verify each link, but websites get restructured, businesses go offline, and domains change hands. A link that was valid yesterday may return a "404 Not Found" today.
We do not monitor every link in real time and disclaim responsibility for any inconvenience, confusion, or harm arising from non-functional or altered links. Browser caches may also display outdated versions; clear your cache if a link appears broken.
If you spot a broken link, please report it to stephenpcrump504@gmail.com.
9. Mobile Usability Disclaimer
Aether is responsive and adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes. To preserve performance and usability on smaller screens, certain visual elements (the minimap, dense data tables, multi-pane layouts) may be simplified or hidden on mobile.
Some features — particularly the infinite production canvas — are most efficient on a desktop with a pointing device and keyboard. By accessing the Service on a mobile device you acknowledge these adaptations.
Performance can vary based on device, OS version, browser, and network conditions.
10. Outdated Content Disclaimer
Information on this site, in product copy, in AI-generated suggestions, and in any associated content reflects the state of knowledge at the time of writing. Platforms, algorithms, APIs, and best practices change rapidly.
We make reasonable efforts to keep content current but do not guarantee that every page reflects the latest information. Verify critical information against primary sources (platform documentation, official guidance) before acting on it.
By engaging with the Service you accept responsibility for verifying the currency of information before applying it.
11. Privacy Policy
For the full standalone version see /privacy. Summary follows.
11.1 Information collection and use
Direct collection. When you sign in, we receive the access password you submit and discard it after hashing. If you opt to connect a third-party social or LLM provider, you provide credentials directly to that service.
Automatic collection. The hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard request logs (timestamp, path, status, IP) for operational purposes.
11.2 Cookies and tracking
The only cookie set by Aether is ccd_auth, an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie that stores a SHA-256 hash of your access password and expires after 30 days. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, fingerprinting, or session replay.
11.3 Purposes of processing
Operating, maintaining, and securing the Service.
11.4 Third-party advertising
We do not display third-party advertising on the Service and do not allow third-party ad tracking on Aether pages.
11.5 Affiliate programs
Aether may participate in affiliate programs in the future (for example, recommending tools we use). Where applicable, affiliate links will be disclosed per FTC guidelines (see § 6).
11.6 Data security
We use HTTPS in transit, secure cookies, and standard hosting-provider safeguards. No digital transmission or storage method is 100% secure; absolute security is impossible to guarantee.
11.7 Data retention and removal
The auth cookie expires after 30 days. Almost all of your workspace data lives in your browser's localStorage under ccd-store-v1 and you may clear it at any time. To request deletion of any server-side data, email us.
11.8 Links to external sites
Aether links to third-party sites and may load data from third-party APIs. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or practices of those sites.
11.9 Policy changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on next sign-in.
11.10 Age restrictions
The Service is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11.11 International data transfers
The Service is hosted in the United States. By using the Service from outside the U.S. you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
13. Terms and Conditions
For the full standalone version see /terms. Summary follows.
13.1 Use of the site
Aether is invite-only and offered for personal and internal business use by authorized account holders. Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
13.2 Intellectual property
All Aether-original content (code, copy, design, brand) is protected by copyright and other IP laws. Your own content remains yours.
13.3 User conduct
Users are prohibited from posting content that is offensive, defamatory, infringing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful. We reserve the right to remove content and terminate access without notice.
13.4 Links to other websites
We are not responsible for content or practices of third-party sites linked from or integrated with Aether.
13.5 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content.
13.6 Limitation of liability
In no event shall Aether or its operators be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising out of access to or use of the Service.
13.7 Termination
We may terminate or suspend access at any time, without prior notice, for any reason — including breach of these terms.
13.8 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. User Data Control & Browser Settings
Below is a quick guide to controlling your browsing data — applicable to Aether and to the web in general.
- Cookie settings. Most browsers expose cookie controls under Settings → Privacy. You may view, manage, or delete the
ccd_authcookie at any time. Deleting it will sign you out. - Private / Incognito mode. Browsing in a private window prevents Aether from persisting your workspace data to
localStorageacross sessions. Useful for shared devices. - Do Not Track (DNT). Aether does not run analytics or ad tracking, so DNT signals have no additional effect on this Service. We honor them regardless.
- Clear browsing data. All major browsers offer a one-click clear of cookies, cache, and site storage under History → Clear browsing data.
- Block third-party cookies. Recommended. Aether does not set third-party cookies.
- Privacy extensions. Tools like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and Ghostery provide additional tracker blocking across the web.
Disabling cookies or storage entirely will impact Aether's ability to keep you signed in and remember your workspace.

12. Social Media Disclaimer
Aether may reference, link to, or pull data from third-party social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, X, etc.). Posts, comments, and content from those platforms reflect the opinions of their authors and not those of Aether.
We may share links, articles, or posts from third-party sources for informational, entertainment, or educational purposes. Sharing does not equal endorsement.
We reserve the right to remove any user-generated comment or content within the Service that we deem inappropriate, offensive, harmful, or in violation of law or our policies.
